The line between editorial content and advertising in news media is blurrier and blurrier. That’s not bullshit. It’s repurposed bovine waste.

  1. Man, in the five years since this segment aired, John Oliver saying that Mountain Dew: Code Red is "the most disgusting drink ever manufactured" continues to be the most offensive thing he has ever said. Screw you John, "red" is my favorite flavor and will always will be!
    Next to chartreuse, that is.
    Oh, and periwinkle too!
    Wait, can't forget about aquamarine…
Well maybe red isn't the best, but it's still among the best tasting of all Crayola colors.

  2. Ah John don't take this the wrong way, I LOVE raisins and yes even in cookies, however I did get upset whenRaisin Bran (years back) made the awful decision to go from I scoop to 2 scoops, at first I Must admit, oh boy2 scoops, that's until I bought the first box & had to spend 20 min. picking raisins out my bowl, however aftermentioning this awful incident, allow me to return to the main item, I LOVE RAISINS.

    You'll get thirsty.

    And when you get thirsty.
    You need a drink.

    Ice-cold Diet Coke.

It is a great substitute for tap water, which is still unsafe since the privatization of the state's water supply. At least two recent studies acknowledge that lead poisoning due to water consumption cannot be ruled out. Citizens of affected areas are reminded to use water filtration devices, buy bottled water or drink Diet Coke.

The refreshing Coke with zero sugar.

    Mmhhh."

  5. My eyes roll every time a click is mentioned with advertising.
Like, the fuck? What good are tv ads then? People tune those out just as much as any internet ad. But because internet ads can actually track 'further' engagement than having the brand smashed to your pupils they're suddenly worth less?

  6. I agree with most things John Says but this one is rough, because for those companies to live on they need to make money. When most of youre information comes from primary source news and these comanies need to make money, all i gotta say is you gotta do what you gotta do.
